Lectures and Colloquia

The weekly Graduate Research Colloquium, introduced in 2002, is designed to provide DSA graduate students who are in the thesis analysis and writing stage a venue to develop and validate their ideas with fellow students and the Department's faculty.

The DSA Faculty Research Colloquium, launched in 2000 and held twice a semester, allows the Department faculty members to present their current researches to an audience comprised of fellow faculty members, graduate students, and interested public.

In February 2005, the Department of Sociology and Anthropology launched its Visiting Scholar Lecture Series. The Department invites scholars and researchers from universities abroad to share their research and to exchange ideas with faculty, scholars, students of the Department and interested public on current trends and future directions of sociological and anthropological research.
